The senior reporter will work within a global team to assess prices, launch new Asian benchmarks and provide news, breaking news and in-depth features for these key and dynamic markets.
Scope and Impact
This position sits within Metal Bulletin’s base metals division, which enjoys a strong reputation among the industry as a leading Price Reporting Agency. The role provides an opportunity to report on and price premiums in China that have a global influence and benchmark status.
The position focuses on pricing Metal Bulletin’s daily benchmark copper premium in Shanghai, which is used in physical contracts and is also the settlement basis for a global exchange’s listed futures contract. But the coverage also include other base metals, especially nickel, which is gaining exposure as a global reference amid growing battery demand for the electric vehicle sector.
The senior pricing reporter will also scope, develop and establish new benchmarks in base metals in the region. He/she will report to the Asia Non-ferrous Deputy Editor, and closely work with colleagues from our global offices.
