    Euromoney Conferences, part of the Banking and Finance Group of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, is the world's leading organiser of conferences for cross-border investment and capital markets. We are looking for a graduate marketing executive to research, manage and develop our international conference audiences.

     

    We organise circ. 30 editorially-independent, sponsored conferences a year for portfolio and direct investors, financial institutions, corporations, and governments. Our events are about markets, economics, business and finance around the world - from Paris to Riyadh, from New York to Nairobi. You will be involved from start to finish in assembling 1000s of CEOs, bankers, politicians and investors to attend our conferences each year.

     

    This exciting role offers the opportunity to deal directly with business people, politicians, journalists, and academics at a very early stage of your career; responsibility from the start; training in event marketing and financial markets; and international travel opportunities.

     

    The role will report to the Head of Marketing and includes (but is not limited to):

     

    Targeting and Lead Generation:

    • Liaise with the conference team to establish target markets and potential audiences for 10-12 conferences a year
    • Research and build a database of potential delegates for each conference with the support of in-house teams
    • Use of intuitive lead-generation techniques for data capture of new prospects

     Data management:

    • Database management – keeping our data clean and up-to-date; uploading lists of new contacts
    • Ability to quickly and accurately manipulate/format data in Excel; use of formulas, sort functionality and categorisation techniques
    • Daily use of Euromoney’s CRM system, Salesforce. Ensuring data is up-to-date and verified

    Event marketing: digital and non-digital channels:

    • Implement and project-manage a coordinated marketing campaign for each conference, incorporating:
      • Content marketing – ensuring content is relevant and engaging to prospect audience (video, blog, interviews) and is circulated on the most appropriate channel
      • Search marketing – keyword research and PPC campaign oversight Google adwords 
      • Social media management – Twitter, LinkedIn & Facebook. Paid & organic
      • Database building – data research briefs, data analysis and research
      • Email marketing – data mining and email build using email build software
      • Agency briefs – produce agency briefs for PR and design campaigns
      • Organise trade/press advertising and barter agreements with media/trade partners
      • Understanding of marketing automation systems and techniques
    • Management of online content:
      • Work closely with our editorial team to produce promotional material including: adverts/ banners; generic promotional mail shots about the event; personalised invitations to prospective delegates
      • Create and maintain a dedicated webpage using Euromoney’s CMS systems

    Forecasting:

    • Manage and control the marketing budget for each campaign

    Analysis & Response:

    • Provide conference team with updates on status of campaign
    • Monitor hit rates, click through, email and postal, telesales success rates
    • Web and data analytics – Google Analytics, Apteco/FastStats and Excel

     

    The skills and attributes we are looking for in a candidate include:

    • Educated to degree level
    • Knowledge and experience of using databases would be an advantage; a good working knowledge of Excel is a requirement
    • Knowledge and experience of design software including InDesign would be an advantage
    • Familiar with digital marketing and manipulating data
    • Quick to pick up new technologies and tools
    • A fine eye for detail
    • A logical and organised approach
    • An interest in and natural curiosity about world affairs, business, economics, finance
    • Calm under pressure
    • Team player

     

    The individual must be able to live and work in the United Kingdom. This job will be based in central London. There will be opportunity for international travel. Applicants must hold a valid passport with no travel restrictions.
