    About the Role

    We are looking for a highly experienced and credible Product Director to lead the growth of our Price Assessment and News products as we look to take the business though its next phase of growth. This is a global role within the Metals and Minerals business with significant revenue accountability.


    Principle Responsibilities

    • Develop the product and go-to-market strategy for Price Assessments and News products. This includes owning the digital product requirements as we transition to a new, customer-led, data delivery platform
    • Set the business and product marketing strategy to drive adoption and usage of prices within key markets and to develop and protect benchmark status
    • Ensure product margin/profit targets are achieved in line with budget for the Price Assessments and News products
    • Liaise with sales to understand customer needs, support with key deals and drive data licencing sales
    • Negotiate and manage all commercial agreements for distribution of our content through 3rd party channels/platforms (such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and Morningstar)

     Measures of success

    • Growth in license sales of our commodity price bundles globally
    • Growth in sales from Market intelligence/News products
    • Margin control – products to hit agreed profit margins 

    Experience Required:


    Must have:

    • Demonstrable experience of managing a group of information products (ideally in a data or Price Reporting Agency (PRA) business environment) through the product lifecycle, from inception to commercial success
    • Experience managing the customer experience in complex digital environments
    • Able to interface closely with both sales and editorial teams to ensure commercial targets are met
    • Good understanding of subscription and data business models for information services


    Nice to have:

    • Experience developing new price benchmarks in the commodity sector. Ideally a candidate will bring insight into selling commodity price indices
    • International experience
    • Experience migrating products and customers to new technology platforms
    • Experience owning and negotiating 3rd party data distribution relationships and commercials

     Who you’ll be working with


    • Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will work with a cross-functional team including sales, marketing, digital and editorial/pricing teams
