Headquartered in New York and employing two-hundred people across the US, UK, China, Hong Kong, and Australia, II comprises four business units covering global conferences, industry research, media, and industry communities.

     

    Role

    We are looking for an experienced finance professional, with a track-record of running a global finance team, in a highly commercial environment.

     

    The role will head up a team of nine employees, covering finance management, business accounting and management accounting. This role requires a strategic and commercial approach to operating a finance team, it will cover all business units and functions for the organisation.

     

    The successful candidate will be commercially focused, with a good grasp of financial analysis techniques and stakeholder management skills.

     

     

    Responsiblities 

    • Lead the global finance team in partnering with the business to establish, manage and deliver against rigorous financial targets
    • Introduce best practice for forecasting, cost governance and reporting across the division
    • Develop, train and manage the existing finance team
    • Establish effective internal controls in the business and delivering an adequate overall level of internal control and approval mechanisms
    • Responsible for the provision of the appropriate business reports, tools and metrics

     

     Measures of Success

    • Accurate budget setting, tracking and management
    • Accurate forecasting, risk management and issue mitigation
    • Increase in overall business partnering activities from the finance function
    • Provide holistic executive level reporting to outline health of the business

     

    Experience

    • At least 8 to 10 years’ overall finance/management consulting experience
    • At least 3 years’ experience of running a finance team
    • Experience of managing remote teams
    • Relevant accounting qualifications/experience
    • Track record of performance in a team lead role
    • Track record of applying analytical skills to the business decision making process

    Education 

    • Degree from a recognized institution and accounting qualifications/MBA

     

    Location 

    • Based in NYC, with international travel
