    Job Title: Divisional Business Analyst
    Reports To: Finance Manager, FastMarkets MB
    Division: Price Reporting Analytics Division
    Location: London

     

    The Division consists of several business, consolidated into two main groups; Metals and Forestry.
    Euromoney’s PRA Division provides critical, often industry-standard, information, events and tools to help our clients make high-value decisions. We enable them to get the maximum value and advantage from industry news and data by:

    • Creating high-quality, comprehensive news and data
    • Producing role-specific and customisable web services
    • Providing analytical tools
    • Embedding data in workflow software and solutions
    • Embedding data in workflow software, and
    • Providing industry-leading conferences and networking events

    The responsibilities of this role are to:


    - Oversee and review the preparation monthly management accounts of the portfolio
    - Prepare clear and concise commentary for the portfolio, explaining the why not just the what
    - Take full ownership of the monthly reforecasting process ensuring profit protection is built in to manage risk
    - Act as Business Partner and become the first point of contact to the key stakeholders by supporting, scenario-testing and advising on strategic decisions
    - Manage division-wide financial reporting, forecasting and consolidation , identifying risks and opportunities throughout the year and flagging to senior management in a timely manner
    - Model and administer all incentive schemes in the portfolio whilst keeping consistency with the rest of the Division
    - Ensure that financial controls are applied and adhered to, in line with central finance and Company-wide requirements
    - Take the lead on FP&A for the Division including yearly budget presentations updates and ad-hoc strategic reports across the Division
    - Deep-dive into data and work with MDs to come up with KPIs to monitor business performance and drive behaviour
    - When required, carry-out financial due diligence on any potential M&A activity and provide financial analysis on any potential disposals

     

    The role will require the candidate to proactively collaborate across both the Division and the Company including cooperation with a Financial Transformation Project and Internal Audit

    Team Management:

    • Management accounts team of 2 FTE will report into this role

     

    Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

     

    Must-have:

    • At least 2 years’ experience of business partnering, including team management
    • Ability to manage and develop SMAs and MAs, including setting performance objectives and holding regular 1-2-1s
    • Ability to delegate work to the team
    • Ability to organize and complete interviews for recruiting BAs, SMAs and MAs
    • Strong analytical focus with the ability to quickly identify the “story” that the numbers are telling
    • Ability to handle big data and be able to develop templates that are suitable for financial and non-financial users
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with which to engage business managers and their teams
    • Proficient Excel skills, comfortable using PowerPoint and confident at presenting
    • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 2-3 years post qualified experience

     

    Useful to have:

    • Exposure to SUN, NetSuite and SAP Business Objects, Financial Consolidation
    • Passion for the working in the Metals and Forestry Industry
