    Regional focus may be Europe and/or Africa and/or Middle East


    Salary range: depending on experience

    Commission scheme: 1% of GP to target, 2% over target

    On target commission: £5-10k pa, uncapped

    TowerXchange, a newly acquired subsidiary of Euromoney, is hiring a hybrid conference producer / market analyst which we call a Head of Research. The successful candidate will build their expertise and profile as a subject matter expert in the telecom tower industry. Our Heads of Research are much more than conference producers, although they do recruit 60+ speakers per year. They also author and publish 25,000+ words of original market research per quarter, they are the opening speaker at their own events, becoming sought-after visionaries in their own right.


    Key skills, qualifications and experience


    • Minimum of three years of outstanding commercial event production
    • 2:1 degree or higher
    • Eloquent communicator both verbally and in writing
    • Fluent English required, languages a plus
    • Experience of autonomous project leadership
    • Commercially savvy – comfortable building relationships with prospective sponsors
    • Hard working and diligent


    Job description


    Depending on their languages and background, The Head of Research for TowerXchange will produce either our renowned, 4th generation large scale event in Europe, or co-produce both this and our 7th generation African event alongside a peer. They will be supported by exhaustive local industry connections and backed up by hundreds of thousands of words of market research.


    As Head of Research, you will cultivate relationships with hundreds of network strategists at MNOs, infrastructure companies, and their suppliers and investors. You will leverage those relationships to produce panel and breakout sessions at 1-2 events per year, requiring a total of 60+ speakers. You will take ownership of the one of the event P&Ls, project managing sales and marketing teams to achieve target event GP from EMEA events rising from £1mn to over £1.5mn over the next 2 years.


    You will develop subject matter expertise and relationships to develop yourself into a thought leader on the European and/or African and/or Middle Eastern tower industries, drawing upon that knowledge to produce 15-20 CXO interviews and editorials every quarter, published through our website and The TowerXchange Journal.
