    International Financial Law Review’s (IFLR) Practice Insight is hiring a reporter to cover how financial institutions are adjusting to the wave of global, post-crisis regulatory reforms.

    By speaking to senior decision-makers at banks, asset managers, regulators and law firms we uncover how they’re complying – or failing to comply – with post-crisis regulation.

    Practice Insight, part of Euromoney Institutional Investor, launched last year and is extremely popular with lawyers, bankers and regulators across Europe. While still in its infancy, we have a unique position in the market, a growing subscriber base, and offer good opportunities for progression.

    This is an exciting role offering an established reporter the opportunity to discover and explain the changing practices of legal and compliance teams in Europe. You will have some previous journalism experience, preferably covering the business sector. You must have excellent written English, be comfortable dealing with senior professionals, and able to meet deadlines. We are looking for a reporter with high standards and a desire to break stories and unearth trends in market practice. This role is based in our central London offices.

    Please apply with CV & a short cover letter explaining why you would be right for the role.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Pitch and write exclusive trend articles that examine the practices of legal teams in the European financial sector;
    • Develop and maintain good relationships with senior figures at banks, asset managers and law firms;
    • Work closely with your editor to expand areas of coverage and track engagement with content;
    • Attend and report on industry events, including opportunities for international travel.

    The position requires:

    • Sound knowledge of financial markets;
    • Excellent written English and newswriting ability;
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher, and some previous journalism experience;
    • Existing contacts within major financial institutions and/or law firms would be beneficial.

    In addition to a competitive salary, Euromoney offers the following benefits:

    • Save-as-you-earn scheme;
    • Company pension;
    • Season ticket loan;
    • Employee assistance programme;
    • Support for working parents;
    • Health & wellbeing cash plan;
    • Private health insurance;
    • Discounted gym membership;
    • Flexible working;
    • 25 days paid holiday;
    • Paid volunteer days;
    • Ride-to-work scheme.
